Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is the facet of Yoga that
focuses on health and wellness. In Yoga
Therapy traditional Yoga practices are
selected, adapted and modified to fit
your unique needs with respect to your
condition, age, culture, religion, and
specific health challenges.
It is not necessary to have any
background or knowledge of Yoga prior to
beginning Yoga Therapy. The process
begins with a thorough description of
your present situation at the physical,
psychological and spiritual levels. We
take into consideration your physical
and psychological strengths and
weaknesses and look at the role of
stress in your life.
As your Yoga Therapist, my role is to
assist you in your own self-discovery
and journey to wholeness. Together we
develop a program addressing your
healing needs. That program will
involve the four basic steps that lead
to deep healing: body awareness, breath
awareness, attention focus, and
concentration.
